BAD NOISE FOR BAD MOTHERFUCK'RS!

MASSMORD / SHADES OF GREY - Split 12'' (2008)

One of Sweden's most powerful bands team up to deliver 11 tracks of bulldozing crustcore. MASSMORD have proven on their previous 2 LPs that they're a force to reckon with and on this split they lay down 6 even more powerful tracks than earlier and prove that they had no problem handling the transition from two to one singer. SHADES OF GREY make their vinyl debut on here and the only question you ask yourself is why they haven't done so sooner? 5 heavy ragers with dual vocals. A double dose of downtuned hardcore punk that's perfectly matched, both musically and ideologically. Both bands have excellent recording production with an absolutely huge sound.

SLICK 46 - I Don't Wanna (2007)

Slick 46 are a working class Street Punk band, that formed late 1998 in country New South Wales, in Australia. Their music is unashamedly old school with plenty of sing-a-long chorus & loud guitar riffs. Their influences are obvious - The Clash, Sex Pistols, Sham 69 and current days bands such as U.S. Bombs and Clit 45... Slick 46 has just released a new E.P. ''Young Love'' available now through Longshot Music & Contra Records. If you want to hear this album you can find it here. Nice stuff...

EMINENT SCUM - Demo (2009)

Eminent Scum started out winter 2008 as a Black Metal band called Discunt. In the idea of creating a representable black metal band hailing from the punk scene in Oslo. Soon, the slow paced Black Metal turned boring and as sean joined the band in favor of the old drummer, the beat was changed to vicious D-beat, Hardcore Punx the word! Then the May joined and all hell broke loose in a swirling hell of a Hardcore Trash-punk attack-inferno. The name was changed, and here it is; Eminent Scum..

THE SKUDS - Hellbound EP (2007)

The SKUDS is another great D.I.Y. underground Punk band. Beer-fuelled Crust / Hardcore hailing from Augusta, Georgia. THE SKUDS turn out fast, metal-edged house wrecking punk, reminiscent of ENGLISH DOGS but more US Metal / Punk influenced with solid/minimal chord progressions, gruff rhyming vox, good dynamic changes, and song structures. The band have announced plans to release an alternate CD version of their upcoming "Hellbound" seven-inch via Moshpit Tragedy Records. What can I say... Great!

DISLIKE - Ctrl (2006)

Dislike is a old Croatian band formed in 1997. I know this guys, great people... Long time ago Dislike played a whole different, crustier, simpler kind of grindcore. Today, they play more fast and brutal Grindcore, and as far as I'm concerned, they're one of the best Croatian grindcore bands. Požega kicks ass. And I might as well mention; one of the founding members was Kukatz (Sensless, Nonsense), only member of the quite well known Gruuthaagy project... This is total fucked up raw trash/crasher sound, so if you like your music to be clean and melodic stay away as far as posible! ;)

SUMMON THE CROWS - Scavengers Feast LP (2006)

All you crusty punks and Hardcore freaks that think there's too little metal in punk these days should fully focus your attention towards this peice of plastic. Norwegian Summon the Crows are offering a dark and powerful blend of crusty Hardcore and Metal - with the occasional riffing along the lines of classic Norwegian stuff. This is their first and last LP. The music reminds me a bit of Amebix & early Black Metal primitiwes... So this is what crusty-ass stenchcore sounds like... Great! I love them and therefore I recommend this album to everyone who enjoy hard and heavy Scandinavian noise!

RAISED BY DRUNKS / LINK - Split EP (2009)

Stockholm's global crusties RAISED BY DRUNKS pair up with Belguim's power crust band LINK on this long awaited but well worth the wait split EP made possible by several DIY labels from around the world. Swedish boozers RAISED BY DRUNKS include former members of 3-WAY CUM, SPITE, OPERATION and DISKONTROLL and play four songs of very aggressive and energetic Scandi crust with dual male vocals. LINK from Belgium also play Scandi inspired crust with some US power crust influences... They have a much more darker sound than RAISED BY DRUNKS playing two songs of epic crust with dual female and male vocals. A great split from two bands I hope to hear a lot more from in the future. NAPALM DEATH - The Complete Radio One Sessions (2000)

What can I say.. Fucking GREAT!!! The fathers of grindcore, Napalm Death pushed the envelope of noise to new extremes of ear-splitting intensity, rejecting all notions of melody, subtlety, and good taste to forge a brand of sonic assault almost frightening in its merciless brutality. Napalm Death's was evolved into a blistering mutation of metal which they dubbed grindcore, a kind of extremist noise attack of demonic vocals, and eye-opening sociopolitical lyrical commentary. The Complete Radio One Sessions is a compilation album by Napalm Death featuring all tracks recorded for BBC radio sessions.

DEAD SWANS - Sleepwalkers (2009)

Debut full-length album from UK band Dead Swans. ''Sleepwalkers'' decides to assault the senses with short, sharp shocks (no song on the album goes past 3 mins) which, given the Hardcore scene, fits it in line with not only UK peers but the classic US hardcore bands. Vocally it's what you would expect. A bit of growling and screaming however (and this is slightly a down side for me) that's all we get. No melody, no sing-song bits, just pure hardcore. My overall opinion of ''Sleepwalkers'' is that it is a good album that will definitely be pleasing their fans and fans of hardcore music in general.

OI POLLOI - SS Politican (2010)

Yeah! Oi Polloi latest CD! It includes their male sexual health-themed EP "Mind The Bollocks" their side of the split with Israeli political punk band Nikmat Olalim (which now sounds a thousands time better than the original vinyl.) as well as compilation track and an extended version of their song "SS Politician". Attacking world leaders and multi-national companies with humour and anger in different languages... The band holds a political view which some call ultra-hardline ecologism, with the motto “No compromise in defence of our earth”. What can I say.... You know Oi Polloi... ;)

PROJECT HOPELESS - Av Hela Mitt Hjärta 7" EP (2009)

The well used phrase "they keep getting better and better with each release" couldn't suit a band better than it suits Project Hopeless. For a long time I thought the band had lots of potential but that it was somewhat lost in their recordings which weren't the best. It wasn't until the 2007 LP "Välkommen Till Vår Sopfyllda Fabrik" that I felt they had overcome this and finally presented themselves they way they should. Now two years and a couple of line-up changes later they return with their very best material to date. They still deliver the same hard råpunk they've always done, but with a sound that's raw by choice and nothing else.

A.N.S. - Pressure Cracks (2009)

With little regard for convention, A.N.S. is a group of musicians from all across the country - Denton, New Brunswick, and Portland - who have come together to tour and record the sounds of madness inspired by classic punks like Black Flag and Suicidal Tendencies. Their breakneck touring schedule, which involves playing a show every night for two months, is powered by a loyal fanbase and D.I.Y. spirit beckoning from before the digital age. The band offers mail-order service for their vinyl EPs, LPs, and splits with other bands. They are now promoting their latest album, “Pressure Cracks”, here is link... ;)

DIE KREUZEN - Collection '81-'83

Die Kreuzen (prouounced Dee-Kroytzen) was formed in mid-1981 by two refugees from Rockford, IL (vocalist Dan Kubinski and guitarist Brian Egeness) and two from Brookfield, WI (bassist Keith Brammer and drummer Erik Tunison). They became aquainted through the varied Milwaukee 'new music' scene and realized a common interest, not only music but also in escaping the boring reality of nine-to-five life. Their name was chosen specifically to avoid stereotyping, because "no one knows what it means"... :) Whatever... Great band! Good old '82 sound. Enjoy!
